The problem with free PDF tools
Most free online converters are thin wrappers around a third-party API. Your document is uploaded to one company, forwarded to another, and the privacy policy you read applies to only one of them.
We run every conversion engine ourselves. That is more work and more infrastructure, but it means the sentence "your file is not sent anywhere else" is a fact about our architecture rather than a marketing line.
How we think about quality
A converter that silently drops a page or mangles a table is worse than one that refuses the file, because you may not notice until it matters.
Our tools are tested against what actually comes out: that the right pages survived a merge, that text is still selectable after compression, that a conversion changed the encoding rather than only the file extension.
What we will not do
We will not put a watermark on your output. We will not require an account before letting you do the thing you came for. We will not invent review counts or usage statistics to look bigger than we are.
Where a tool is not ready, its page says so plainly instead of accepting your upload and failing.
