Who we are

Files you upload

Files are uploaded directly from your browser to our object storage and processed on servers we operate. They are not forwarded to any third-party conversion service.

Files are deleted automatically two hours after upload. Deletion is enforced in three independent ways: a lifecycle rule on the storage bucket, a scheduled cleanup process, and an expiry check performed every time a file is requested. You can also delete your files immediately using the button on the result screen.

We do not read the contents of your files, and we do not use them to train machine learning models.

What we store about you

If you use the site without an account, we set a session cookie containing a random identifier. It exists so that your results belong to you and nobody else can download them. It is not used for advertising.

We record the filename, size and detected type of each upload, plus which tool was used and whether it succeeded. This is what lets us fix a tool when it breaks.

We do not store your IP address. For rate limiting we store a salted one-way hash of it, which cannot be reversed to recover the original address.

If you create an account, we store your email address and a hashed password. Passwords are hashed with Argon2id and are never recoverable, by us or anyone else.

AI-powered tools

The summarizing and translation tools send the text of your document to a large language model in order to produce the result you asked for. That text is not retained by us after the job completes and is not used for model training.

If you would rather no third party sees a document at all, use the non-AI tools. Every conversion, compression and page-editing tool runs entirely on our own hardware.

Cookies

We use a session cookie for the purpose described above, and a preference cookie that remembers whether you chose the light or dark theme. Neither is used for tracking.

We do not currently run third-party advertising or analytics trackers.

Your rights

If you are in the UK, EU, or another jurisdiction with equivalent legislation, you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected, to have it deleted, and to object to processing.

Because uploaded files are deleted within two hours automatically, most requests concern account data. Contact us and we will action it.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that affects how your data is handled, we will say so on this page and update the date above rather than changing it silently.
