Is it really free?
Yes, for normal use, with no account and no watermark. A paid plan exists for very large files and high-volume automated use, but you do not need it for everyday work.
What happens to my files?
They are processed on our servers and deleted automatically two hours later. You can delete them sooner from the result screen. We do not read them and do not use them for training.
How big a file can I upload?
100 MB per file. Batch limits vary by tool and are shown on each page.
Why did my scanned PDF produce no text?
A scan is an image of a page, so there is no text to extract. Run it through the OCR tool first, which recognises the text and makes it selectable and searchable.
Why is my compressed PDF barely smaller?
Compression mostly works on images. A document that is only text has little redundancy to remove, so the saving is small. Image-heavy scans typically shrink dramatically.
Can you recover a password I forgot?
No. When you password-protect a PDF, the password is used to encrypt it and then discarded. We never store it. That is exactly what makes the encryption worth anything.
Do I need to install anything?
No. Everything runs in the browser, so it works the same on Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS and Android.
