What is REMO8 (Annex VII)?
The form is Annex VII to Council Regulation (EC) No 4/2009 on jurisdiction, applicable law, recognition and enforcement of decisions and cooperation in matters relating to maintenance obligations. It covers applications to obtain a decision under Article 56(1)(c) and (d), and applications to modify a decision under Article 56(1)(e) and (f) and Article 56(2)(b) and (c).
Part A is completed by the requesting central authority and identifies the requested authority, the case, the applicant, the debtor and the creditor, and the children concerned. The rest of the form deals with the financial circumstances, the payment details, and the documents attached, and ends with the signature of the applicant or of the person or authority authorised to complete the form on their behalf. In the UK the REMO Unit at the Official Solicitor and Public Trustee acts as the central authority that sends and receives these applications.

How to fill out REMO8 (Annex VII)

- Give the details of the requesting and requested central authorities, the reference numbers and the person responsible for following up the application.
- Complete the sections on the applicant, the creditor, the debtor and each child, including dates of birth, addresses and identification.
- Set out the maintenance sought and the financial circumstances, then list and attach the supporting documents the form asks for.
- Sign the application, or have the authorised person sign it, and send it to the REMO Unit at the Official Solicitor and Public Trustee, which forwards it to the authority in the other country. Check the current address and process on gov.uk before sending.

No. This form is for obtaining a new decision or modifying an existing one. Enforcement of a decision already made goes through a different application, so check which route fits your case before you start.
