What is DAVA?
The ANZ Discharge and Variation Authority, known as the DAVA, is used to instruct ANZ to discharge a mortgage or vary the security supporting a home or property loan. Customers lodge it when they sell a property, refinance to another lender, or restructure the security held over their loan.
The form captures the borrowers, the loan account and property details, the reason for the request, such as sale, refinance, or partial discharge, and settlement information. ANZ uses it to prepare the discharge or variation documents and coordinate settlement. It is a bank form, not a government form.
Who files DAVA?
- ANZ home loan customers selling a property secured by an ANZ mortgage
- Borrowers refinancing an ANZ loan to another lender
- Customers requesting a partial discharge or a change to their loan security

How long does an ANZ discharge take?

Is there a fee to discharge an ANZ mortgage?
ANZ may charge a discharge or administration fee. Check the current fee with ANZ or in your loan documents, as amounts change over time.
