What is I-193?
Form I-193, Application for Waiver of Passport and/or Visa, is a short application a traveler uses to ask that the normal documentary requirements for entry, a valid passport or a valid visa, be waived for a specific arrival. It is decided at the port of entry by U.S. Customs and Border Protection, and approval is discretionary and case by case.
