What is I-907?

Premium processing commits USCIS to take an adjudicative action (approval, denial, request for evidence, or notice of intent to deny) within a set number of business days for eligible form types and categories. If USCIS misses the window, it refunds the premium fee while continuing expedited handling.

The service covers designated classifications on forms such as I-129 (many nonimmigrant worker categories), I-140 (certain immigrant worker categories), and some I-539 and I-765 categories. The eligible categories, timeframes, and fees have expanded and changed over time, so always check the current list on uscis.gov.

Employers filing Form I-129 for nonimmigrant workers in premium-eligible classifications
Petitioners or beneficiaries of Form I-140 immigrant worker petitions in eligible categories
Certain F, M, and J students and exchange visitors with eligible I-539 or I-765 filings
Attorneys and representatives filing on behalf of any of the above

How to fill out I-907

Confirm on uscis.gov that your underlying form type and classification are currently eligible for premium processing.
Complete Form I-907 with the receipt number of the pending case, or prepare it for concurrent filing with a new petition.
Pay the premium processing fee shown on uscis.gov; it is separate from and in addition to the base filing fee.
File online through your USCIS account where supported, or mail the request to the address specified for your service center.
Track the guaranteed processing clock from the date USCIS receives the request; it pauses if USCIS issues a request for evidence.
