TD1ON: 2026 Ontario Personal Tax Credits Return
TD1ON is the Ontario Personal Tax Credits Return. You complete it with the federal TD1 so your employer or payer can calculate how much Ontario income tax to deduct from each payment.

What is TD1ON?
TD1ON, the 2026 Ontario Personal Tax Credits Return, is a Canada Revenue Agency form your employer or payer uses to determine the Ontario portion of income tax to withhold from your pay or pension. You claim the Ontario personal amounts that apply to you, such as the basic personal amount and credits for a spouse, dependants, age or disability. It works with the federal TD1 to set your total tax deducted at source.
TD1ON is a dynamic PDF that the CRA publishes in Adobe XFA format. It does not fill in a web browser, so it will not display in the in-browser editor or quick-fill form here. Download it and open it in Adobe Acrobat Reader to complete the fields, then print and sign it for your employer.
Who files TD1ON?
- Employees working in Ontario starting a new job
- Pensioners and payees in Ontario subject to tax withholding
- Ontario workers whose personal credits change during the year
- People who claim more than the basic personal amount in Ontario

Is the federal TD1 still required?
Yes. TD1ON sets only the Ontario tax deducted. Complete it with the federal TD1 so both the federal and provincial portions of tax are withheld correctly.
Where does the completed form go?
Give it to your employer or payer, who keeps it on file. You do not send TD1ON to the CRA. Complete a new one whenever your personal credits change.
