Form 8: Employment Pass Application Form (for sponsorship cases)
Form 8 is the Employment Pass application used where the hiring company has no Singapore registered entity and a local sponsor company supports the application instead.
Most Employment Pass applications are submitted online through EP eService by a Singapore registered employer. An overseas company without a registered entity here cannot do that, so MOM runs a sponsorship route: a Singapore registered company acts as sponsor and the application is made on the Employment Pass (Sponsorship) form.
The form is long because it covers three parties: the candidate, the overseas employer and the Singapore sponsor. It collects the candidate's personal particulars, qualifications, salary and job details, the overseas company's information, and the sponsoring company's declarations and undertakings. MOM says sponsorship cases are processed within about six weeks for most cases, longer than a standard EP application.

How to fill out Form 8
Confirm that the sponsorship route applies, that is, the employing company has no Singapore registered entity.
Complete the candidate sections: passport particulars, qualifications, employment history and the job offered.
Complete the overseas employer sections and the details of the work to be done in Singapore.
Have the Singapore sponsor company complete its sections, declarations and undertakings.
Submit the completed soft copy form with the supporting documents through the MOM online submission route, using the sponsor's Corppass account, and pay the application fee shown on mom.gov.sg.
Worth knowing: Sponsorship applications need a Singapore registered sponsor company and a Corppass account, and take longer than a standard Employment Pass application.
