Form 14A: Application for Entry Visa
Form 14A is the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority application for a Singapore entry visa, made under section 55(1) of the Immigration Act 1959.

What is Form 14A?
Nationals of a number of countries and territories need a visa before travelling to Singapore. ICA describes the entry visa as pre-entry permission to travel to Singapore and seek entry, not as an immigration pass, and the period of stay is granted separately as an e-Pass on arrival.
The four page Form 14A collects the applicant's particulars as shown in the travel document, alias, date of birth, sex and marital status, spouse and family details, travel document and journey information, and Part IV antecedents covering any refusal of entry, deportation, conviction, prohibition from entering Singapore or previous entry under different particulars. Part V is the applicant's declaration and undertakings, including not working without a valid work pass and not overstaying.

How to fill out Form 14A
- Affix a recent passport size photograph and complete Part I with the applicant's name exactly as shown in the travel document.
- Complete the travel document, journey and family particulars, including the local contact in Singapore where one is required.
- Answer the Part IV antecedent questions, and give full details for any yes answer about refusal of entry, deportation, convictions or previous entry under different particulars.
- Read the Part V undertakings and have the applicant sign and date the declaration.
- Submit through one of the channels ICA accepts: online by a local contact with a Singpass or Corppass account, through an authorised visa agent appointed by the Singapore Overseas Missions, or at the nearest Singapore Overseas Mission. ICA does not accept visa applications at the immigration counters.

Frequently asked questions
Does a visa guarantee entry to Singapore?
No, and the form says so. The declaration states that holding a visa does not guarantee entry, and that permission to enter is entirely at the discretion of the officer at the point of entry.
Do I need a local contact in Singapore?
To apply online, the application is submitted by a local contact with a Singpass or Corppass account. Applicants without one can apply through an authorised visa agent or the nearest Singapore Overseas Mission.
Is Form V39A needed as well?
Where a local contact supports the application, ICA uses Form V39A, the letter of introduction, in which the individual or company states their relationship to the applicant and the purpose of the visit. Check the requirements for your application channel.
