When Toeslagen is late deciding on your application or objection, this form puts them formally in default and gives them two weeks to decide after all.

What is TG 1551?
An ingebrekestelling is a formal step, not a complaint. You state that the decision is overdue and ask for it within two weeks. If it still does not come, a penalty payment can start to run in your favour.
It applies to allowance decisions: an application for a toeslag, an objection, or another request that has gone past its statutory decision period. The form asks which case it is and when you filed.
Who files TG 1551?
- People waiting on a toeslag decision past the deadline
- Anyone whose objection about an allowance has had no answer
- Applicants who need a decision in order to move on
- People preparing to appeal against a failure to decide

Frequently asked questions
What happens after the two weeks?
If there is still no decision, a dwangsom can start to accrue in your favour, and the way to an appeal against failure to decide opens up.
My case is with the Uitvoeringsorganisatie Herstel Toeslagen.
Use their own form instead. The form flags this case on its first page, because UHT matters go down a different route.
Is this the same as a complaint?
No. A complaint is about how you were treated. This is about a decision that is legally overdue.
