What is Formulier 2a?
A maatschap is a partnership in which each partner contributes work, capital or goods and the partners practise a profession together rather than run a trading business. Doctors, dentists, lawyers and farms commonly use it.
Form 2a registers the maatschap itself. The individual maten are registered on form 10a. A maatschap can also be registered online at kvk.nl/inschrijven, which is quicker where that route is open to you.

- Professionals setting up a maatschap together
- A maatschap taking over and continuing an existing business or branch
- Partners who cannot use the online registration
How to fill out Formulier 2a
- Say whether the maatschap is new or continues an existing business, and give the date as dd-mm-yyyy.
- Enter the name of the maatschap and describe the professional activities.
- Give the visiting and postal addresses and the contact details.
- Answer the questions about the agreement between the maten.
- Print, sign in pen, and send it in together with form 10a for the maten.

How is a maatschap different from a vof?
A maatschap is for practising a profession together and each maat is liable for equal shares. A vof runs a business and each partner is liable for the whole debt. The registration forms differ for the same reason.
